Where does Mental Elf Festive Fun Run start and finish?

Please note that Mental Elf Festive Fun Run starts and finishes at different locations.

The start is at The War Memorial Tunbridge Wells (1914 Civic Way) and the finish is at The Millennium Clock Tower, Fiveways, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2TB.

Please plan your journey with this in mind, particularly if you are being dropped off or leaving a car near the start.

Is there a bag drop?

No, there is no bag drop at this event.

As the route starts and finishes in different locations, please only bring what you are happy to carry with you for the duration of the event.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive from 8.45am, allowing plenty of time to check in and get ready before the event begins at 9.30am.

How long is the route?

Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is a 5K festive ‘fun run’! You don’t need to be a serious runner, it’s all about getting involved, having fun and supporting better mental health. The route is flat and accessible so wheelchair users and buggies are welcome.

Do I have to run?

Not at all! Run, jog or walk, take part at a pace that feels right for you.

What should I wear?

Come dressed for the weather and wear comfortable footwear suitable for the route.

And, of course, we’d love to see your festive fancy dress! Elves, Christmas jumpers, tinsel and festive accessories are all encouraged.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is an outdoor event, so please check the forecast and dress appropriately.

If severe weather means we need to make any changes to the event, we’ll communicate these to registered participants as soon as possible.

Do I need to fundraise?

We’d love as many of our participants as possible to become a Mental Elf Fundraising Hero. All you’ll need to do is set up your fundraising page and share it with your friends, it’s that simple.

Every extra pound you raise goes directly to supporting children and adults here in West Kent, helping us to fulfil our mission of ensuring no-one in West Kent has to face a mental health challenge alone.

Can I take part as a team?

Absolutely! Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is a great event to take on with friends, family or colleagues. Discounted rates are available for group bookings.

Can businesses and workplaces get involved?

Yes! We’d love local businesses and organisations to get involved, whether that’s entering a team, fundraising together, volunteering or supporting Mental Elf Festive Fun Run through sponsorship.

Where does the money raised go?

Funds raised through Mental Elf Festive Fun Run support the work of West Kent Mind, helping us provide mental health and wellbeing support for adults and children in our local community.

What should I bring on the day?

We recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable footwear
  • Clothing suitable for the weather
  • Water
  • Any medication or personal items you may need
  • Your festive spirit!

Remember, there is no bag drop, so please travel light and only bring what you can comfortably carry around the route.
